About us
How we started

Making my own soap is something that I always wanted to learn how to do. After I took a class on soap and lotion making, I was hooked. I came home with my soaps and lotions - excited to try them out. I went out and bought new soap making equipment, invested in base and essential oils, and made my first batch two weeks after my class. I was determined to never buy a harsh "beauty" bar of soap again. Did you know that most of those bars you buy at the store to bathe with can't even be labeled as soap because they aren't actually soap? They are mostly chemicals and detergents. That's why it is labeled as "beauty bar", "deodorant bar", or "bath bar" (check it out the next time you are at the store).
Another big factor for me was the fact that one of my daughters suffers from moderate to severe eczema and another has very sensitive skin. After paying a fortune for special soaps, lotions, body washes, etc., that all promised to help with eczema (and didn't I might add) - I thought to myself, "there has to be a better way". I replaced our "beauty bars" and special soaps with the natural product I was making and was thrilled to discover that neither daughter had any kind of reaction to the product! They love it as does the rest of my family. Even the youngest said he felt cleanier using our soaps.

Anyway, while I waited for my soaps to cure, I got the idea that I could share my new found talent with the world. Everyone loves good smelling soaps and bath products, especially all-natural ones. It was then that I hatched a plan to market my product. I made several different batches of soap, worked on packaging and did research on marketing. I decided that once I had a few batches fully cured and tested, I would hit the ground running.

I have made quite a few batches since that first day. All of my soaps are handcrafted using the cold process (unless otherwise noted) with some of the best ingredients on the market. I have also ventured out to shaving soap (my dad loves it), a whipped shaving oil (which I love and my husband swears by), lotions, bath soaks, and a dry skin balm (my personal favorite).
